The City of West Lafayette's Wastewater Treatment Utility collection system services areas beyond the City's corporate boundary of an area of more than 24.21 square miles. Currently the Wastewater Treatment Utility bills 7,734 rate payers within that sewer service area.

The Utility's collection system is comprised of 13 lift stations and nearly 193 miles of sewers consisting of storm, sanitary as well as combined sewers in sizes ranging from six inches to as large as 96 inches throughout the Utility's service area.
