  1. West Lafayette variance requests are processed through the Area Plan Commission and the Board of Zoning Appeals.
• How to find: Setbacks, Lot Area and Width, Lot Coverage, Height, and Parking requirements:
  1. Pull up Tippecanoe County Zoning Map.
  2. Type in your address or navigate on the map.
  3. Find the layer on the map that your property is shaded in. (R-1, GB, etc.)
  4. Go to Chapter 2 Zone Regulations of the Unified Zoning Ordinance and find specific information on your zone.

• Signage- How to find sign area for your property:
  1. Pull up Tippecanoe County Zoning Map.
  2. Type in your address or navigate on the map.
  3. Find the layer on the map that your property is shaded in. (R-1, GB, etc.)
  4. Go to Section 4-8-5 of the Unified Zoning Ordinance and find specific information on your zone. Building Department is happy to assist with specific questions.
