Our Mission

"The West Lafayette Go Greener Commission promotes environmental health in our community for present and future generations. The commission gathers and disseminates information; plans and promotes practical initiatives and public policies; and measures, monitors, and reports on our community's progress on sustainability."

The Go Greener Standards for Events group is part of the City of West Lafayette Go Greener Commission initiative to increase awareness of environmental issues related to events in the area. This site has information for people wishing to know more about greener events. We help with green events in the Tippecanoe county area in Indiana.

The Go Greener Eliminate Plastic Bags Committee is part of the City of West Lafayette Go Greener Commission initiative to increase awareness of environmental issues related to events in the area.

Who we are:

Anyone in the West Lafayette / Tippecanoe County region can be a member of Go Greener. Our current voting board members are:

What we do:

The Go Greener Commission was established in 2008 in an effort to boost green efforts in the City.

For more information or to become involved, please complete the Go Greener Commission Application and email Lindsey Payne at paynel@purdue.edu. The application may be turned in to the Mayor's Office located, 222 N. Chauncey Avenue, West Lafayette, IN or emailed to Lindsey Payne at the above email address.

When we meet:

The Commission meets in-person the third Tuesday of each month at 6:00pm August - May at West Lafayette City Hall, City Council Chamber. Meets in June and July are virtual. Please contact Lindsey Payne for virtual meeting details. All meets are open to the public.
