Neighborhood Resource Team
Created by Mayor John Dennis in summer 2009, the West Lafayette Neighborhood Resource team consists of three components:
- Parking Enforcement (parking FAQs)
- Code Enforcement
- Animal Control Enforcement
Operating as a division of the police department, the team's primary objective is to act as the city's nuisance code and ordinance enforcement agent. This can involve any of the three components mentioned above. As the enforcement arm of the city's rental housing program, team members seek to work with both landlords and tenants to identify and eliminate issues related to unregistered rental properties and over-occupancy complaints. Code enforcement team members proactively and regularly check neighborhoods for compliance. Team members often offer referrals and resources to city residents who may need assistance.
The Neighborhood Resource Team can be contacted by calling West Lafayette Police dispatch at 765-775-5200
